PrettyWifey asked: I am thinking of applying to grad school. I just graduated with 2 bachelor’s degrees- one in communication and one in sociology. I want to get a Master’s for personal achievement and also so I never have to go back to school later in life. If I don’t go now to grad school, I honestly don’t think I ever will.
I found a program at a state university for a Master of Science in Public Relations with a concentration of advertising/marketing. It will cost me $16,500 total, including books/fees, etc. I will go full time for 1 year to graduate. I’m staying at home with my kid, so it’s not like I am missing out on work.
Do you think it’s a good investment? I wouldn’t take out student loans because I have saved $20,000 for grad school (if I wanted to go). I have no student loans from my bachelor’s either, I would be debt free.
