I agree it's really common sense that the only aim of your web site should be to get your visitor to do what you want him to do. Simple but overlooked by most.

There is a brand new network called Global Herald Network that let users share information with peers worldwide directly from their desktop using the client software Herald. People are using it to advertise. Its very efficient in promoting anything!
